Challenge
Villas Rio Mar runs three related brands, a hotel, a restaurant, and a pickleball club, on one long-running WordPress site that had previously been compromised. The client's brief was specific: keep the existing site alive rather than rebuild it, bring it up to a modern standard, and do it without disrupting the live PMS booking system the hotel depends on every day.
Approach
We treated this as an infrastructure and modernization project on top of the platform the client already trusted, not a replatform. Work centered on three tracks: security hardening and recovery from the earlier compromise, SEO work to improve how the site is found, and a light facelift plus custom booking behavior so the reservation flow works better for guests, all built around the existing WordPress foundation and its per-brand template structure.
Deliverables
- Security hardening and stabilization following the prior WordPress compromise
- SEO improvements across the site's content, structure, and metadata
- Light visual facelift that modernized the site without a full rebuild
- Custom booking behavior built around the live PMS integration
- Multi-language setup and template work spanning all three brands
Status
This engagement is ongoing. Everything above is live; a full rebuild is in progress, built on the infrastructure and template work already done.
Results
- Site stabilized and hardened with zero bookings lost through the recovery work
- Improved booking behavior on top of the existing PMS integration
- Multi-language, multi-brand template setup keeping the hotel, restaurant, and pickleball club on one maintained foundation
- The business has kept growing since: the restaurant runs at capacity nightly, and the hotel has continued expanding, adding a gym and pickleball courts. Elevation Digital continues to support the infrastructure underneath that growth.
